What you’ll do
- Build and maintain Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs
- Modernise legacy Java codebases and untangle shared dependencies
- Design data access with JPA/Hibernate and tune slow queries
- Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Testcontainers
- Work with client teams on code reviews, releases and production support
What you’ll bring
- Strong Core Java (8+) including collections, concurrency and streams
- Hands-on Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Security experience
- Experience with relational databases and SQL performance
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle builds and shared library packaging
- Understanding of microservice patterns and REST design
Nice to have
- Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Kubernetes deployments
- Domain experience in fintech or regulated industries
